Vacation Photos

Thanks. I still consider myself a beginner.

I have to confess, I have started using Lightroom about two weeks ago and it's incredible. Very useful for making sure the horizon is straight (especially for ocean shots), for re-framing shots and enhancing the colours. It only lacks perspective correction.

Strand is fantastic I lived there 2007/2008 stunning place. So you have to come on a vacation to enjoy the view we LIVE here how lucky are we :D

Yeah the mountain pass and all those beaches just after Strand (heading in Hermanus' direction) really are beautiful

cool, gotta visit Strand this year... did u use the kit lens?

If you read this thread, you aren't supposed to take your dslr on vacation :p

Just because its on the interwebs it doesnt mean its necessarily reliable - just look at Ken cRockwell's site if you need further proof of that. :p

Lol. The camera is nothing compared to a stuff you need for a two-year old.

I must admit though, I'd like to change my 18-55 and 70-300 lenses for a 18-200 lens and a 35mm prime. I don't like changing lenses often on vacation, especially on the beach. So a more 'all-in-one' lens is probably better suited for vacations.

Sounds to me like what you really need is a second body  . . . . :D

Just saw on outdoorphoto, there is a 18-200mm up for grabs.
