I never celebrated the day but I think for both people it is about feeling wanted and appreciated. And it is easy to say it should be a daily thing, but it isn't. People get so caught up in work and home life that they often forget to show appreciation for the other person. So it should not be about bragging rights or flashy gifts. It should be about tenderness, togetherness, and putting the normal annoyances aside for a few hours and enjoying each other. Well, that is my take on it.So what you are saying is its about the ladies having something flashy to post on socials/ brag about to show up their friends and colleagues?
Kind of like a guy showing up at the golf course with the latest putter/driver.
But you are right - for some people, it is exactly what you described. Just hope you aren't with someone like that.
