Valve announces the Steam Controller

I like it. It's obviously trying to merge the two elements on each side of a typical controller. If they pull it off, ie. usable face buttons on top of an intuitive trackpad, it could offer a significantly improved experience over the competition.
 
I'm signed up as a beta tester! steam OS, controller... gonna be epic!
