A study by the University of Connecticut shows that the use of e-cigarettes may be just as harmful as smoking tobacco cigarettes.

They also used an iron lung, not similar to the way a human would smoke as dry hits or burning of the coil cant be ruled out. They then used silver chloride for imaging which by itself could cause dna damage. Finally they didn't represent a human body at all, just added the mixture to dna and enzymes.
