Where can one find a 30v 5A , the ones in Marketplace lack my confidence. As with most things, budget constraints are tough: my hobby’s expenses are hard to justify

look for a 220 to 30 v torroidal and build from there .a nice big rectifier and capacitor for a basic dc and a buck or boost unit thats adjustable (bobshop) for a basic test unit .lots of hifi amps use 30 to 36 v torroidals .

Do you want to control both the volts and amps and do you need a display for both?

I do need to control both, but amps only basic adjustment needed. I do need display of voltage and current output
