Great news - your virtual VCpay cards are now fully 3D Secure.

Sounds good, but what does this actually mean for you? Apart from enhanced protection for your cash, you can now use your VCpay cards at even more South African merchants: Treat yourself to that shirt you've been eyeing at Foschini or Truworths Stay warm while you shop from home at Makro, Yuppiechef, Loot, Matrix etc. Top up on data or airtime with whichever provider you use (Vodacom, MTN, Cell C etc.) Buy movie tickets at Nu Metro or pay your DSTV bill*and settle in for a weekend of binge watchingVCpay is now fully 3D Secure!

We'l see how it goes.

This is of great interest to me.

The one major ball-ache with virtual cards is the lack of AVS. Yet this seems to expand the range of shops that are supported?

Can anyone knowledgeable comment on the interplay between the two? Does 3D Secure avoid the need for AVS?

3D secure as a whole is a fkin scam (from a user perspective)...but this expanded merchant support has caught my interest.

.

Unfortunately no link as I got a message from them. I use them since long time ago but recently even local 3D secure required purchases were denied. So hopefully it is now accepted as they claim.
