My DSL line is with Telkom and it was upgraded to 40Meg today, I then upgraded with Mweb to their 40Meg service. Judging by other people's issues it looks like the Telkom tech didn't change my profile to VDSL as the modem is still showing ADSL2+. I spent an hour on the phone with Telkom but all they do is transfer me from one department to the next with nobody having any clue about the issue. When I was finally transferred to upper technical support the line went silent after I started explaining then she eventually hung up. My cordless phone is now recharging.
I've messaged TelkomZA this morning and hopefully he'll get back to me by tomorrow but is there any direct number to upper technical support available? Also what should I say to them so that they know what the problem is? The modem is the new Mweb FON modem that supports VDSL.
