VDSL modem

Does anyone know where in Cape Town I can find a Vdsl modem to purchase which doesn't require waiting a week or more? I've phoned and looked around but seems it's hard to come by.

Telkom stocks them, I walked in to a Telkom store and picked up one there.

No real preference, although the thought of buying a modem from telkom makes me nervous, do they have more than one model?

I don't know, got mine a while ago. They do stock the Pace one. I put mine on my Telkom account and paid it off over 6 months.

I have tried both a Pace Modem and TP Link ADSL 2 Modem. Both produced the same download speed .

Meh, I have a pace and am very happy.. I don't use it for any other features other than a VDSL modem which connects to my mikrotik and that controls everything.
