I found that, with so many plant-based options nowadays, that it has been a very easy transition going vegan, or plant-based, as militant vegans would put it.

So, I'm sharing some of the recipes that I've found that made the transition, and my life, a bit easier. Please feel free to share yours. Most of what I'm about to post, I've tried out myself.

Sweet potato flatbread

I tried this first with coconut flour put the lack of gluten made the dough crumbly. Managed to successfully execute it with whitebread flour.

Quinoa bread

I tried it the first time without soaking the quinoa but the bread had a bitter aftertase. So, the second time around, I soaked the quinoa for a few hours, drained and rinsed it and then flavoured it with some herbs and nutritional yeast. You can basically flavour it any way you want.

WTF is wrong with that ladies hair in the last video?? Is that a side effect of being a vegan?

Chicken style seitan

We include seitan at least once a week in our diet as it is a good source of protein. It isn't a complete protein though, so you would have to pair it with other plant protein sources to get a complete protein.
