Hi all

I am desperately in need of a new bike to get to work and back, which would of course need to be financed.

The problem with that being the fact that I am 19 years of age, and have no one to sign a letter of surety.

I have been steadily employed by the same company for close on two years, but unfortunately have no credit record.

Am I screwed here guys ? Or is there another way to go about this ?

Thanks an advance!

If you have been employed, then you have an income and payslip? Your bank should be able to help you in this regard. Go chat with them.

depending on the size of the loan, you should be ok.
A deposit also tends to help the situation...

LOL bru I was in the same boat...Only way out is for a dealer to buy the bike and sell to you...but obviously at credit card interests...this is what happened to me...19% fixed...I'm paying R600 more per month than I should!

If you really "have no one" to sign a letter of surety and you're 19 and been working for 2 years you could get legally emancipated? This would mean you are regarded as a major and don't require anyone to sign surety. The banks will probably still rip you off though...

one question how much u looking for and also which bank do u bank with?
