i have a 1998 Opel Corsa 1.6 Sport (Vauxhall). i picked up a problem of jerking and engine cutting off (engine lights comes on). Hence i checked the battery, the petrol, the oxygen level and the coil but everything is okay. i even replaced the timing pulley sensor but the idle is still too high and the car cuts off. Opel & Corsa fans please advise where else the problem can be. Thanks!!

Carb or fuel injected?
Could be a vacuum leak

clean your idle control valve.
on one of my opel's the electric connection came loose. I insert a needle in the lug.

This is one of those tricky things to fix. Process of elimination. Quite a few things that could cause this.

can you tell me what causes this and how do i go about fixing it
