Has anybody renewed their vehicle licence via the Natis site. They charge for delivery and thats ok but do they do it on time. Has anybody had any problems with renewing via Natis?

They don't do it. It is anyways a cesspit of vagrants and queues for grants. You welcome to go visit. Take some KFC with, sure they will enjoy it.

I did mine 4 weeks ago, no queues, was 2 minutes in. Quickly done and actually impressed

I've renewed two licenses through the Natis site in the past two months. Both times couriered to my door within 7 working days and I will use them again.

Thanks for the heads up. I never knew this was an option and have an expired disc I (my son) forgot about. So I just used it now for the car that expired end July and another that expires end Sept. So hopefully get the disc soon but it gives you a receipt showing you've paid and expiry date, so I'll print that in case any issues until it arrives.

It depends on which Post Office you go to. Some want you to bring certified copies of ID and proof of addresses. Apparently they don't have a copy machine, and apparently they aren't commissioners of oaths either. You have to bring both original and copy, and they get confused when the original is not original but a printed copy, then there is a great wailling and gnashing of teeth. And some are very fussy about what they accept as proof of postal and residential address, and woe betide you is they are different, all hell breaks loose. And then there is the payment: Cash only, no cards, cards are absolutely verboten for license disc renewal, despite them accepting cards for other payments. So you have to go there with a bulging wallet in a queue with illegals and poeple who smell like vagrants. Every post office makes up their own rules, one has to "shop around" to find one with the rules that suits you. And this is besides the fact that in even in summer the aircon is turned up to 28 degrees, and the heaters are going full blast.

That is if you can find a post office. Most of the post offices in Centurion / Pretoria East closed down last year which means longer queues at the ones that are still open.
