They have made clear that there has been delays. Typical south africans to moan about a new startup when it doesnt go right off the bat. Ignorance reigns...
IMO, this country needs this airline, more competition, lower rates, more routes... there are big benefits. But because of their low costs, they ended up being fully booked on all flights, this is probably an oversight on their part, but they claim to be correcting it by adding more aircraft to the pool.
Dont be hasty and give out insults and negative opinions, especially if you are not a regular flyer... if you were, you would know that delays in this country are as common as corrupt politicians, across any airline, and If you remember, 1time, Kulula, Mango all had the same issues when they started. So dont run to hellopeter and cry about them because you didnt make your meeting on time because you opted for the much cheaper option. Stupid people will do that and expect to have the best service on the first day of operations, if they dont, the world must apologise. Sigh, you ppl make me sad.
Im remaining positive - they will sort out their teething issues and will hopefully become a airliner worth using. Currently imo there are no decent airlines in this country, SAA is crap beyond belief, unfriendly attendants, uncomfy seats and you sit with a bunch of people who think they are better than any1 else. The food is pretty crap as well. The same can be said for BA. I only fly 1time, and imo its the best of the bunch when flying domestically. Ive built up enough flying time in the last 4 years to see that there are really no good options when it comes to flying. You will be delayed on every airline you chose.
