Verbatim flash disk 16gb not working

Ola MyBB.

I found this in a drawer this weekend.



When i plug it in Win7 says it's installing drivers, but then after that.... nothing. it doesn't show up in explorer. any ideas from the Mybb boffins to maybe get this going will be appreciated. or maybe it's just dead

Try formatting it on another machine.

Right click on your Computer Icon and lick on Manage, then once you're in the console goto Disk Management, if the driver installed properly you should see the disk listed in there (it should be the only 16gb drive on the system) if it's there assign it a drive letter by right clicking on it or if it's not there, check the device manager to see if there was an issue with the drivers.

Can you change it to FAT32? Otherwise use this tool http://rufus.akeo.ie/ then select everything as default and select Check device for bad blocks. If it asks for an iso then use a windows 7 or 8 iso.
