Is it possible to receive verification sms’s from WhatsApp and google on Rain mobile?

I am aware of that but I am asking as someone mentioned that they where working on it a while ago and no one has confirmed

I did read on mybb that they will be supporting it but when I use the 0816 number from the dashboard the sms never comes through so it's probably not supported yet.

When I popped my new SIM into my router today there was a welcome SMS informing me of the APN.
I tried sending a SMS to Rain SIM number but that never came through. Guess we can't receive SMS after all...

Damn annoying actually for those of us who do not have dual sim phones.
Masterpass, internet banking, and a myriad of other day to day mobile app security verifications or confirmations cannot be received.

I have to keep my Vodacom sim on me at all times just in case....

You did read it in a mybb article a while back. Mybb asked Rain for comment and they said they will support it but did not mention that it is currently supported or mention a date.

Thanks @cavedog its a pity they didn’t launch as a full mobile network with VoLte, Sms, voicemail and data because If they did I’d have moved my primary over to them
