Vertical line across samsung sceen?

Hi,

My samsung 2333+ has just developed a vertical line across the screen. If the background is dark the line is red, if light, the line turns greenish blue.

I unplugged the monitor cable from the pc thinking it might be that, but when the screen looks for a connection the red line is still there.

Eish, does this mean i have to send it back? Its such a pity because the last time i sent a screen in for repairs it took a month and during that time i was stuck on an old 17 inch crt. Longest month of my life i tell ya.

Is there perhaps a quick way to get this done? I bought the screen from kalahari.

Had a similar issue recently with the same model, monitor got swapped out within a week without any problems.

It happened to my T240 and couldn't be fixed, so it was replaced.
Hopefully they'll just give you a new one.

Contact CRT123 in Sandton (if you are in JHB). They do repairs for Samsung IT products. Took a Samsung T220 to them for repair and got it back the next day.

Just to add another post to my small post count: There seems to be software called Jscreenfix that may repair it. It works online.

I also saw a Youtube video where they ran a muli-colour test pattern that fixed a problem matching yours.

But as your screen is still under warranty....

I have very faint diagonal lines on my 2333SW.. just appeared out of nowhere.
