So here is my rant:

Saturday afternoon I get a whatsapp that our area is live..

I ask somebody from Vuma to help and he gives me another guys' number which I call and he says he can help me and my neigbor Monday 14:00 with installations.Good times.

Both installations done at 16:30 and the 4 guys who did the installation did a superb job and knowing my friend who lives 2 streets from me waited 1 hour for his line to be active so we will be active before 18:00.

19:00 comes and goes. This guy...who is from Britelink and a contractor for Vuma tells me Tuesday morning I will be sorted.

Tuesday 12:00 the afternoon comes and goes. He then tells me the guy from Vuma must first add our complex into the system. There was also the problem that my ISP apparently gave us "expression of interest" order numbers instead of "installation" orders.

I phone Vuma call centre to hear that they don't pick us up on the system...not through our order numbers or our ID numbers...maddafakka.

16:00 it's done. Still no solid green PON on the device. Only to find out that they stil have to enter all the details for the complex into the system..F@ck me donkey.

Promises me we will be active by 12:00 lunchtime today. [email protected].

Got told that they were at fault cause they were suppose to enter the details first on the system and then take the installations seeing as the complex went live saturday 17:00.

Up untill now me and my neighbor are waiting 2 DAYS! And apparently they (Britelink) are adding the info manually to make the process quicker. As I'm typing this we are still not active.

I just want to inform some people here...if you under Vuma and the contractor Britelink comes to do an install at your place....tell them to f@ck off...

To Vumatel....this contractor company you are using is going to cost you a lot of customers in the long run.

I was looking forward to this fibre but at the moment I want to rip the ONT from the wall with the fibre cable and conduits, rip out the small Vuma manhole outside my yard....and smash everything with a f@cking hammer...then set it alight, piss on it and send it in a bag to Britelink.. to see if they can fix it.

Your ISP should also be managing a lot of this?

Once you're live you won't even remember the bad times, assuming your ISP is decent
