I'm very slowly building my new pc. Depending on available funds. So far I got a Raidmax Aztec case, GA-EX38-DQ6 mobo, Q6600 Cpu, and 4Gb Transend ram.
Should I get the power supply next or should I wait till all the discs and graphics are there? Plan is to get two 500GB Sata drives and some kinda dvd-writer plus a graphics card. I was gonna go for a GT8800 but I am thinking maybe the ATI cards could be a better option. Also can't decide on a power supply. Too many options. Newer supplies seem to have the fan on the bottom. How does this work? Fan sucks air (hot) and blows it out the back?

How much do/will you have to spend on a graphics card? I'd recommend the Radeon HD4850 at +- R2300, or the HD4870 for a grand more.

Much better bet than a Geforce 8800, or pretty much anything else NVIDIA has at a reasonable price right now.
