Hello
For the past few days now, I've been experiencing EXTREMELY slow internet speeds on a 2mb uncapped line from MWeb. It's so slow, I can't even finish a speedtest.
Now this might have something to do with the new MWeb router we got as part of the Fon network thing. It's our second one now, as the last one was faulty. But as I said, the speeds have been so bad that I can't even stream 144p videos on Youtube.
Please someone advise.

Do you have any idea why the download speeds are so bad but my ping is fine? It's really weird. What has this CEO done to mweb?!

Thanks man.
I kid you not, I left Speedtest open for 30min and it just wouldn't finish. I just posted it how it was. I guess everyone would get impatient in those cirumstances. Thanks again.

Speedtest on my 1Mbps uncapped account on a 2Mbps line. Looking to upgrade that to 2Mbps tomorrow.

So why did you cancel?

I couldn't stream Twitch on medium, which I was able to do on OpenWeb most of the time during hours, and all the time after hours, for R100 less per month. I expected better performance from 'Business'. Browsing was negligibly snappier. After a day, I decided to cancel and go back to where I came from. Heaven! In every aspect. And R30 cheaper per month.

Ummmm...why are you guys still with mweb?

Because we haven't experienced any issues ourselves or, for others, have only experienced minor issues on occasion. Reading through other ISP threads on here I cannot find an ISP without issues. And believe me, I was actively looking to move before making the call yesterday to rather just upgrade with MWEB.

Because we're not abusers and we appreciate quality, consistent bandwidth, day and night.

Just like that: We are abusers if other supplier works, right?

:edit
Quick, perhaps lame, TW test:

** note audio might be fscked due to lack of time and need for screen recorder **

I honestly cannot think of a reason to leave.
Then I read posts on MyBB and see problems people have with other ISP's.
I would be foolish to leave.
I'm still not sure why I get 3meg download speeds on my 2 meg package, but I doubt I'll get it elsewhere.
