very slow torrents

i have a 1024k uncapped satellite line from ods. azureus is downloading at 8kbps and uploading at 34kbps!!!! any suggestions, PLEASE. surely downloading is faster than uploading

Try utorrent...

Depends on your ratio of uploads to downloads as well.

I agree with Tiredof Waiting.... I also had problems with torrents and never really bothered to forward my ports etc... I tried Utorrent and its works fine without having to do anything!
