Very unstable line

Yeah I tried that.. I've opened loads of tickets and had them raised. Twice a guy has come to my property to investigate. The first time, I had to explain to him what an SNR margin is and, the second time, I watched him enter an address in IE but forget to press enter. He sat for a few mins before I couldn't take it anymore and pressed it for him.
But this problem began the very same day they upgraded my exchange to support 10mb. So I'm pretty sure the problem lies there rather than by me. Plus the tech guy (if we can call him that) found no problem on my side..

Nope, the guy that came to me was not a techie & all he did was look at the condition of my equipment to rule out it was faulty. He said as the equipment looks good he does not need to test or take pics.

He was a quality investigator.

Thanks, will try open as many faults as I can.. You don't perhaps have a phone number of this quality investigator?

V is correct, it was not a normal faultsman that sorted out her problem. When you log your next fault, DEMAND that it be handed over to the Conformance Testing Section immediately.

If a techie pitches up, as him if he is from that section. If he says no, tell him to call them from his cellphone or email them from his bakkie while he is still in your presence.

No. He explained that he was not allowed to give his number as he's not a techie. He did call once a month for 2 months after the problem was resolved to ensure that all was still well since the repair.

What he said ^

Well I called today and demanded this fault be handled by the conformance testing to which they replied "what is the confirmation testing section??" I demanded this a few times but apparently the guy has never heard of the word conformance before.then he decided to raise my line speed in an attemp to raise my SNR margin? Surely that does the exact opposite?
So I called again and after 30 mins of waiting, I put down.
Still don't have a connection on my line..
