Yeah I would've thought it would accommodate the screen resolution found in the software (like on a PC) rather than force it to the closest setting.

however, i've noticed that some games look really crappy at 1280*1024. Example, NFS Carbon. it looks as tho im running it at 800*600 whereas other games like GOW and Fifa 06 looks really brilliant.

Any ideas as to whats up here ?

Same thing happens to Most Wanted, the game will run 640x480 if you set the res to 1280x1024. Try 1280x720 or 1360x768, it runs in HD at that res but you have to deal with the picture getting stretchd up to fit the screen.

most 1280X1024 goes widescreen... i dont mind,
GOW, Lost planet, PG3, PDZ looks fine
