8 months back? More like 2016 or so they changed their line up. They were for many years the one station to play a lot of rock, then in 2016 suddenly it was more r&b and less and less rock.

Yea, think it's the time i was listening as well, usually just for the drive too and from work then over weekends in the mornings.

Yup they changed DJs and it just went downhill

They are sister station to ECR. Years back they also changed from adult contemporary to R&B. Total change of targeted market. They even brought that idiot Joe Phat in. I think that was the last straw for many loyal listeners. I was from when it was Radio Port Natal. Used to listen back then when 604am reception was too bad. I think that was before 5FM.
 
Vh1 classic and 2 sports channels would have been the only channels I would have still watched if I still had dstv .
 
Pop Up Video, VH1 rocks, Behind the music and countdowns. Good times.

We used to play a game where you'd have to identify the song before the title came up. Was more a test of endurance into the early hours than knowledge.

I just want the old MTV back from when I was a kid. TRL, the hours of music videos, Cribs etc. were the best.

Yeah - I switched over to MTV after a long absence and couldn't believe they didn't actually play music anymore.
 
Where is VH1???? Why are channels being removed without consent of customers?????

This is a channel i watch 90% of the time.

DSTV, This is utterly pathetic and unprofessional!!!!

Who decided to remove this channel??? No Bells for that idiot!!!

Definatly looking into cancelling...why need DSTV anymore????

MTV we get hadn't played actual music like the used to for about a decade pretty sad.
 
Spreading the joy of diversity that's all. Get with the times already! LOL @ everyone who still pays for the "joys" of DSTV and complain but unwilling to try out Netflix bcs "they love the SA sports on Supersport".

Everytime I get the question from someone I just met at work that asks me how Netflix is then I always know that it's going to lead to their typical goto excuse for not trying out Netflix or even one of the other streaming services. :po_O
