Does anyone recommend a good VCR to DVD converter setup?

Something like Hauppauge WinTV HVR-900 or ION Video 2 PC or ROXIO VCR to DVD.

Anyone used any of these for vcr to pc (DVD) conversion? People seem to have problems
with some of these. Something that's compatible with Windows 7.

Is it better just to get a digital video recorder and just link it with a vcr and copy the vhs tapes to DVD?

Recommendations would be much appreciated.

If you have a digital camcorder check if it has analogue inputs then you can record to digital and transfer to your pc via firewire.

That is the easy route, which I use.
