Video Camera Advice

I need a video camera, mainly for amateur rugby games and day-to-day stuff. HD is a requirement and a bit of optical zoom. Budget is about R3000. At that price, is the camcorders at GAME the best bet? How are they in terms of quality?

Been using this since my Panasonic was stolen. It's good for the price and used it at the air show zoom is good. Just miss my Panasonic

Just look at the ability to record fast movement like rugby as some of these cheap ones drop frames and the vid can appear stuttered.
