Are there any good video edit apps that will work with 1080p? I'd like to edit some of the gopro videos, and doing it on my ipad will be convenient, most of the ones I find are "paid for" and I don't want to pay for something that won't work

Makes it a snap.Actually, with iMovie it is rather fast, unless you are doing a 1 hour or 2 hour movie.
@xrapidx - have a look on the internet (google) there are lots of reviews of iMovie on iPad including tutorials. The worst part is actually getting your movies on to the iPad unless you have a camera adapter kit.
Looks like 1080 to me?I bought the camera connection kit yesterday
I believe iMovie only does 720p?

Out of interest, how does it handle 1080p editing?
I haven't used it extensively but to my uneducated eyes it handles it well.new iPad.

Can you plug your GoPro straight into the iPad?
