PSP Advance will be available on Nov 9th and works with all firmware versions of the PSP. The software lets you to watch MPG1, MPG2, MPG4, DivX, Xvid, and MOV files on PSP. You can transfer any file from the PC to the PSP via the 802.11b wifi. Looks like the PSP is a viable portable video option now! Can't wait to use my divx collection on the go!

Should be interesting.

currently i can convert any movie into the MP4 format for the PSP and then copy it via the USB cable... but this software package could be useful to avoid all the necessary conversions...

as for space... just wait for the portable 4GB HDD for the PSP out this month... :D

I've also been convertnig the video's. first rip from owned dvds, then to mp4, then via usb to the psp... This way takes aaages to do (2-3 hours per dvd).

Hopefully this new software will make it somewhat quicker.

I wonder if the WI-FI transferring will be quicker than usb, coz usb is quite quick as it is.

i doubt it... Wi-Fi is usually 54Mbps max... isnt USB 2.0 at least 500k/s??
