Hi there, I'm trying to create a mass streaming system, or at least semi mass, the frontend is a website. I was wondering if anybody here knew how I could do this.

What I want is something along the lines of www.livejasmin.com but not orientated towards the adult industry.

Their webcam streams seem to be very fast, even by our standards here in South Africa.

Does anyone know what mediaserver they use, or how can I replicate this in the South African environment?

Red5 is your only open source option, otherwise you'll have to look at Adobe Flash Media Server.

Damn, I had a look at them but I'm not too keen on that as their biggest package allows 100 simultaneous connections/viewers,
which I actually think is rather stupid.

To my mind all I have to do is get the cameras to stream to my server and then I can host as many connections as I like, since
its all coming from the same source.
Does anyone know what software I could use to pick up the streams on my server? That is to say that I'm using IP cameras

If you know any .NET developers the latest silverlight has support for webcams natively so it should be fairly straight forward to put a site together for you.
