This is pretty damn slick, especially with that song. I hate to say it, but be sure to watch the best part at the end.

I wonder what Teslas would make of South Africa's style of "driving" (and I use that word very loosely).

At the rate automatic drive Teslas have been killing people it's fitting they use the theme song of Sending: Vietnam / Tour of Duty :D

Ironically I found the video above inside this news story, where Elon Musk is criticising statements such as yours as irresponsible, saying they may indirectly result in MORE deaths from actual human meathead drivers. Frankly I'm inclined to agree with him.

When you talk about the 'rate' at which Teslas are killing people, are you talking about the one guy back in the US, or the one dude in China?

It's OK, change has never not been scary. Personally I can't wait to drive a Tesla in the hopefully-not-too-distant future.

Elon Musk is criticising statements such as yours as irresponsible

Musk is the last person on the planet who should be pointing fingers at irresponsible statements. Mobileye outright stated they warned about the irresponsible and misleading use of the autopilot marketing terminology before there was a fatal crash, Germany has banned the use of said terminology.

Musk's "irresponsible statements" have actually killed people ... any and all future claims of leading the charge and their general awesomeness from Tesla I will take with a whole bag of salt, as per Bloomberg: Tesla Slams Brake on Driverless Cars

Wow NarrowBandFtw, again I need to ask you which people Musk's statements have killed? How many exactly, as a fraction of other regular motorists who have died in the meantime?

Also, who'd have thought that Bloomberg have such clickbait headlines for articles? Their headline says that Tesla is slamming on the brakes on this technology, then goes on to describe how Tesla is fully committed to continuing the roll-out and expanding its plans into 2017.

You already listed the fatalities, Bloomberg listed 4 more crashes that were luckily non-fatal. But well done on falling for the corporate BS spewing out of Tesla, if you look at the raw data of their testing prior to going live it is nowhere near representative enough to be deemed conclusive and "safe".

Bring on the electric age and the autonomous age! Just give me a BMW or something please, I don't trust Tesla as far as an exploding SpaceX rocket can throw a Facebook satellite, sure they are being lead by a true pioneer of our times. A reckless one ...
