Ok! Here's the low down, This here Moose, is leaving NAM early on Saturday morning and heading to CPT with a group of local kids to play in a sports Tournament.
We are staying at a decent guesthouse , with a pool, braai spot and DSTV.
On arrival , around 15hoo, Moose was hoping to pop into a bottle store, stock up on ale and braaimeat... and stay at the Guesthouse, whilst the rest of the tour group head onto Canal Walk, this is a ritual that all us folk living in the bush enjoy doing, trawling the fekkin Malls.....
However, the powers that be, in other words, "She Who must be obeyed! ", HO , has said that I should stay with the team, seeing as the main reason I am going with is to keep an eye on the lot.....Ahem! cough! cough! me being street wise and all...... So now I need to know, is there any place a touristy type like me can sit down, have a few beers and watch the GAME at 17h00?
The rest of the group will shop and hang around until late in the evening, I am not driving.... Somebody said the DROS, but the bar and telly are in the Smoking area, ?
/Moose ain't the smoking type....
Another person said, that there is a place called The Knife Restaurant, just across the canal, you can walk there..... but it seem's a bit yuppie and upmarket(snooty) for a down to earth chap like meself..... the last time I walked into Den Anker at the Waterfront dressed like a fekkin mountain man, three of us from Nam, it got rough, I vaguely recall being slumped on the floor , leaning against the bar, with the bouncer looming towards me, but my mates are difficult folk from up on our Northern border and after a wee chat , well the Bouncer he knew their history....and kept away, whilst the tourists from Europe and Japan, were tsk! Tsk! away at me......
Shirt! I'm doing it again, wandering of the topic, so in conclusion where at the Canal can I watch the game?
