Hey all. I wonder if anyone here has had this problem. My LCD monitor won't start up. the green power light is flashing on and off. It's done this before, but it's come back on agian. Now, nothing. the monitor is only about 18 months old.

Any ideas?

I tried restarting it a few times. Wouldn't that bring it out of sleep? Besides that, I don't have it set up for sleep mode.

I don't think it's your monitor, test the monitor on another pc first ;) I think it's your pc.

I did that. Also tried the old crt monitor on my main pc and it worked fine

will do. I took it in for repairs this afternoon.
This monitor is junk, absolute junk. Why do you think Viewsonic replaced it within 6 months with the VX922?

The problem being described here, well lets just say I have had 100+ monitors at the call centre I suppose fail like this. It's a logic board/backlight issue, and if your monitor is not covered by warranty - you are in need of a new one.

Good luck.

Doesn't look good. THe guy said he can't even get Viewsonic parts to repair monitor. He didn't say what the problem was, but I'll pick it up tomorrow and find out. Won't be buying viewsonic again if I have to replace it.
