Hi.

I'm looking to find out South African's opinion of the ViewSonic rage.

Have you got one? Is it all you hoped it would be? Where did you purchase it?

Is it on your wish list or your hate list?

Do you prefer other brands? If so which brands?

I'd really apreciate all the views I can get!

I prefer LG, Philips, Samsung, Acer. specially in LCD

I've got a ViewSonic and it's great. It was more expensive that the other brands but I had just returned a Fujitsu Siemens LCD and went for the best, that's according to the salesman. The Siemens LCD was terrible the colour faded in the bottom right hand corner and resolution wasn't great.

Bought it at AccComp about a year ago, they are in Republic Road opposite Cresta Mall in Johannesburg. Their service is not great but passable, prices are also average.

I use a 19" Viewsonic at home, bought it from www.nakedit.co.za. I have had no problems with it and use it for gaming most of the time.

got a viewsonic VX924 (19" LCD); about a year old now. no complaints; good for gaming (BF2 / Guildwars) and general work.

Viewsonic have always made good monitors, only prob is not many places stock them in SA.
If your a gamer i'd rather go for the Samsung 940BF, its fast..

But not as fast as a VX924.

Viewsonic is pretty good. Buy with confidence.

I got a VP912B that still beats any current LG or phillips for colour accuracy 2 years on.
