So what you guys think? after watching the highlights of Valencia vs Villareal I think David Villa is by far the best Striker in the world.

What you guys think?

Messi - winger

As striker Villa>Messi
As footballer Messia>Villa

Yeah wingers are generally thought of as forwards, but what we get these days is Right Mids. Messi is winger in the purer sense of the word I guess, as opposed to a Valencia., who tracks back to help defence. Messi doesn't usually.

When it comes to defending, it might seem that way but is actually not. Messi does a hell alot of defending.

Did you know that Messi, Henry and Eto commited more fouls than the entire back 4 comitted together the entire season?

Its because the team defends so high up the pitch. Puyol, Pique, Abidal, Alves are normally parked on the half way mark or in the oppositions box.

Yes and did you know that Messi saved more penalties that both Valdez and Casillas:p

Yes thanks, I knew that. It's a Pep tactic. But that's what I meant, they defend high, because they stay high, ie the wingers (Henry and Messi to Eto'os striker) don't normally track back to their 1/3 of the pitch.

I think Villa is the best striker in the world and has been for some time.

Im hoping Messi will outscore him this season though, they are tied on 14 goals.
 
Well if Villa leaves for the EPL this transfer window then Messi should top him easily :D
 
I've always thought Villa was the best striker in the world tbh. His record for club and country is amazing. Totally outshines Torres with Spain which is saying something.
 
i wonder whether someone like David Villa would survive in the EPL...cause diego forlan was **** and then he went to spain and he top scored last season.

some people can't make it in the EPL regardless of there talent..i hope Villa comes to the EPL next season.

Yeah, well, you never know until they've proven themselves I guess. Forlan was k@k at United, then brilliant at Madrid, Veron was k@k at United, k@k at Chelsea, but he's been good at Estudiantes. Can't believe he turned down that big money offer from Sh**ty. They really have no imagination any more, and no scouting skills. They just wanna buy players that have played in the EPL and don't really care about the rising talent (if any) in their academy.

The same like Torres was average in La Liga. Was good but never really blew anybody away.

His first season in the EPL he almost won the golden boot.

Players like Villa can play in any league and will do well. The EPL is not that amazing... Players with as much technical ability and skill like Villa can survive any league.
 
problem is the physical side of the EPL game... not sure if Villa is resilent enough to start right away
 
Im sure that wont be a problem for Villa.

The guy is amazing. Im glad he is finally getting some recognition.
