Hey guy's I don't know if this is the right place to post but anyway...

I would like to know if anyone here have ever worked with Vinyl cutters??
I'm looking at buying one for other project based stuff.. But I really don't know where to begin and to look for what...

Its totally new to me... and yes I have tried Google it.. but there is very little advice about Vinyl cutting.

I know a LOT about vinyl cutters. work with them every day.

what would you like ta know?

go look on youtube instead.
lots of instructional videos on how to do multi-layering etc...pretty simple once you have figured it out.

msot vinyl cutters are only as good as their software, which they may come bundled with. from china. with funny dialog boxes you cant understand, so do your research before buying a cheap one from the far east.

make sure it comes with a few spare blades, and that the blades are
1) easily obtainable
2) easily replaceable
3) cheap (although this shouldnt be high on the list of priorities...no point something may be cheap but no longer available)

blades do break.

Well how much have you got to spend?

the one we have cost 150k, keep what work you into man? Do you just want the vinyl cutter or is it for logo's and what not? the days of cutting vinyl are basically gone because now you print you stuff and then cut it, not like the old when you cut red and yellow to make a logo now you just print red and yellow on white vinyl

Well at work we use SUMMA Cutters. 600mm and the 1,2M ones.

they work quite well, blades last long, and the software is quite good. It comes with a plug-in for corel DRAW so it's 1 button to cut straight from Corel DRAW.

i'll post some more later as i'm going home now...later!
