VIP-access problems (need help)

Hello all,

So this week I switched over to VIP-access from SAOL.com, mainly because I would be able to download more.

I got the 256Kbps PPTP option (I am on a 384k line).

To experiment this month, I also have a Mweb 1gig account (unlimited local bandwidth after being capped apparently) and an Openweb 30gig local only account.

Anyways, problems I am having is that international p2p downloads is generally very slow. When I open utorrent with the VPN I generally get download speeds from 0-6 kbps where when I immediately connect with my SAOL account it jumps up between 10-30 kbps.

Another thing, when I am connected through the VPN, I am unable to download from local torrents. I have to close the VPN connection to be able to download any local p2p.

Any suggestions would be appreciated,

It sounds like they are choking / prioritising their connections, from what you say. Have you explained the situation to them?

I doubt this is a matter that is on your side, considering that you have used different accounts to verify your findings.
