Some people just think they are above the law. Driving dangerously without any good reason.

A couple of years ago I had a buddy with DC plates, his father was a senior official in an embassy. This guy would show the finger to these dudes :). Then again he did the same to traffic cops too, the embassy trashed any fine which arrived,
the only time he ever had to pay up was when a private guard clamped his wheel. :)

I laughed so hard when I heard about this earlier ..... classic :D

these bums are worse than taxi drivers, every now and again we have them either going into or out off YSTERPLAAT AIRFORCE BASE here in cape town where i live. i cannot wait for the two parties to meet one day.

I have still not heard a compelling reason for why diplomats and their families are allowed to break the law at will. What happens if one of them shoot someone?

moments after the accident a motorcyclist - who had apparently earlier been forced aside by the VIP Mazda 6 vehicle flashing its blue light - stopped at the accident scene and punched the driver before getting back onto his bike and driving off.

Good! He deserved it.

KwaZulu-Natal's transport MEC Bheki Cele later accused the motorist of being "a self-made, arrogant, non-accountable individual who purports to be a good citizen and I will dare to argue that he is also a racist".

He deserves to get is butt kicked too. That must be the most unwarranted use of the race card yet.

I think there was a movie based on that. Diplomats son raped or shot guys daughter, and he was sent home. Guys made war on the son and his mercenary army.

Saw it LOOONG ago so cant remember name, but thats the way to go I think.

He was lucky all he got was a punch. May I congratulate the biker. You don't push people off the road, I don't give a flying rats ass who you are. If I am in a situation where I cannot safely move out the way, you will sit behind me whether you care to or not. And besides, not many people in government are doing anything of such a serious nature that they need to get anywhere quicker than the speed limit. If you do and are actually needing to get somewhere in a hurry, say to an area which has been ravaged by xenophobic violence, use your helicopter otherwise get with the program. If I drove at that speed I would not only get fined, which I have been for only being 12km over the speed limit. But I would be a total moron and deserve to be punched in the groin by a midget riding a one wheeled bicycle.

PS: Shove your race card up your bum.

Small offenses are squashed. Big ones (murder etc) result in a negotiation between the head of the embassy and the country where it happened. Usually a deal is then made where the offender and his family is shipped off, possibly has his diplomatic status revoked (internationally) and if his home country feels like it, they will try him in their home courts.

Russian diplomats are especially familiar with the above process...so ask one of them for details.:D

remember the name but not the show. Maybe he was one of the guys from CHIPS and his name is PUNCH-A-FELLOW.

It was a "super" motor bike in the spirit of Knight Rider and Airwolf. The story sucked so much not even the kids liked it.

Probably trying to get AWAY. Like Mbeki fleeing the country at the first sign he may actually have to be a president.

I have been on the N1 M1 in Gauteng, here in CT the other day we where pushed off the road by a ML500 with the blue lights, followed by some GTI's.

So, I pay all my tax, I pay fuel tax.

If you cannot get to your meeting in time, what do WE usually do??

Call the person and explain the traffic/ETA changes.

But now we are forced off the road??, why because the MOFO's are late?? Frooking plan your day better I say.

Re the guy on the bike. Classic, remove plate, walk up, Kop stump the driver, get on bike, bugger off. Good man

Re driver what a tool, could have killed the person in the Uno. Drove uno's for a while a decade and a half back, real tin cans actually.

Get a bleeding helo if its an emergency, could be cheaper that the lawsuit that comes from this!!

Re race card, You know we are next ...:(
