I'm not sure what special rights these people have.

I'm talking about these black BMW's barging us off the road for no apparent reason.

It happened to me last weekend and again this afternoon in the rain in JHB.

I'm cruising in the fast lane at a gps indicated 120km/h, out of of no where comes a new black BMW 7 series with flashing brights and a blue light in the grill. No siren. I could not move left immediately as it was not safe to do so (or because I love nothing more than ruining their power trip action movie fantasy)

Once I moved over he sped into the distance, swerving through all lanes (in the pouring rain) until he was out of sight.

Complete and utter disregard for other motorists.

What gives them the right to drive the way they do and the speeds at which they do it?

Anybody work in this industry who can enlighten me?
 
I think that's whats wrong with this country, people take too much s**t. Everything has a breaking point.

Unfortunately that means us taxpayers will have to fork up for a new one :(
 
Unfortunately those are the buffoons that run our country. Bunch of greedy, useless, lazy retards who have nothing better to do.

I just hope that when they crash @ 170KM that its into a concrete wall and not a innocent family.
 
My understanding is that the Road Traffic Act, states that officers can exceed the speed limit and disregard traffic signs in the execution of their duties.

Unless you can prove that the vehicle used at the time was not used for official business there is nothing us simpletons can do.
 
And they define what their duties are, meaning even going to fetch KFC is probably considered part of their duties.
 
The biggest savages on the road are the guys who drive Paradigm tow trucks. Almost been written off twice this year by these pricks.

I could be wrong, but I think they are only allowed exceed the speed limit and disregard traffic signs in the case of an emergency.
 
Wait for them to crash, and when u see it happen pull up next to him and steal his wallet :)
 
Another thing. When last have you heard of any sort of an attack on a government person. Especially whilst they are driving around. There is no reason for them to do this. It is merely a **** u attitude..... Wishing I had my F250...
 
I've also nearly been driven off the road by the "blue light brigade" They make me sick. Definitely a case of being above the law.
