I go to the gym in peak hours,
Why do they allow Kids to run around and use the equipment as they like!!
And the staff just walk around the kids and does nothing (they look almost scared to tell the children to go to the kiddy area,) that while there are people waiting for exercise equipment.
Is it not unsafe for children to be unsupervised? and is it not a law suit waiting to happen?
And I’m sure it would work on my nerves less if they were actually exercising.

And what up with parents being so lousy these days? Kids can do whatever they want and the parents go into this I’m so sorry i offended you mode when the children does not do what they want!
Bring back corporal punishment, that should bring back respect that children should have for adults.

I’m with the dude saying that kids are noisy and irritating. I wish s they would build malls and restaurants that do not allow kids and prams. But this is just me.:D

Wait till something happens to one of the kids, only then will they wake up. That's the SA way of doing things.

Kids rights have made kids the problem. You cannot even look at a kid without a parent getting all self-righteous.

And, Virgin does not want to alienate the parents of those irritating youngins, they're in it for the money, they have to have liability insurance anyway, so it does not bother them financially.

The only way you are going to get a reaction is to get 10 people together and grab the floor manager, into his/her office and gang up on the floor manager until a plan is formulated to stop the place from turning into a kiddie sandpit, by holding the kiddie's parents responsible for their kids.

EDIT: They will have to allocate a person who's sole responsibility is to know who the parents of the kids are, so that the parent can be approached directly by the floor manager, this is basically an extra expense.

VA?

The manager is never available if you want to complain.
Like Dave said it's about the money. Pity there is nothing beter closer by. But I guess it would not be better at any gym.

Thats why I have now left Virgin Active and moved to Planet Fitness Platinum- What an awesome gym!

Virgin Active.

Try hellopeter - don't see why speaking to the manager would be an issue - i've never had an issue with that, they always have ab "on duty" manager

Mila, go complain to the manager of the place. if that dont work/or you cant find him, complain to head office.

yip, had the same problem at VA as well, kids running around unsupervised, its very irritating, don't bring your kids to gym, they don't want to be there and we don't want them there, leave them at home!!

rather leave virgin active - sign up for Globogym instead.

Virgin is the the only one close to home and work.

I thought all the VAs had kiddie creches. The Centurion one is CRAZY...They have a 2 storey climbing wall, loads of toys & freakin playstations in there.

yeah but some mungrels want to play on the machines that the "big people" use, wait till one of them gets hurt and the *** hits the fan, what happens if that child is not careful and bumps someone who is pushing heavy weights and they hurt themselves?? I would be super miffed if that happened

Couldn't agree with you more Mila. I've even taken to only going to restaurants/B&B's/Hotels that don't allow kids under a certain age to avoid this cr@p
