Virgin Active monthly fee

Look what i received today from Virgin Active.

Looks like it's time to go shopping for a cheaper gym.
Any alternative gym with the basics that anyone can recommend close to Plattekloof/Richwood side? Free weights required machines are optional.

No Discovery Vitality.

Heh. Paying about R250 for 2 adults 1 child. Discovery vitality helps. The more expensive gyms are the 'classic' like Melrose Arch.

How does that work? I'm on vitality, but Virgin is R190 each for myself and my wife.

Each Virgin branch has their own fee structure. The more upmarket the area the higher the price even if they have the exact same equipment.
Also how can we get Discovery Vitality? Do we have to subscribe to it or one of their programs?
