Have been experiencing problems accessing certain websites.

Can not access www.cubit.co.za from my VM sim, but it opens first time when I use my VC sim.

Could this be down to dodgy caching, bad DNS, crappy connection or just plain blocking of certain websites.

Funny thing it when doing a tracert or ping the DNS is resolved and the IP address given. I am able to send and receive e-mail to these people, they assure me they have had close to 100% uptime on the site for the last 3 years.

Try a Tracert or ping ends in 100% loss.

Please list any websites you have been experiencing "real" problems with, a site that you have been unable to access.

(PS. please check that you have a working connection first)

Well that's a first!

I have noticed that the Virgin DNS is faulty and I often have to reload pages, but never have I seen it actually 'block' anything. What sort of site is cubit??

I changed my DNS settings on my phone as well as on my PC (to the Open DNS) when I was experiencing a similar problem with VM. It did not change anything, except lengthening the time it takes for my browser to find a site. I don't think it's the DNS.

Cubit is open source accounting system that runs on Windoze and Penguin. It is web based on your network - Appache server and FireFox on the client side.

Wanted to download it so I could give TurdoCash the boot. The damn Borland database is driving me batty.

Well I've done about all I can - cleared cache bla bla ........ deleted temp files ......

Thanks for the cubit.co.za link. Looks very good. Thanks again.

I have the same problem with some sites some of the time. Also happens on Vodacom. Seems not all of the networks can have all of their links working at the same time.
