VM seems to have degraded back to it's old slow self recently.

Stop/start, disconnects & having to reload ... timeouts etc.

When, oh when will they improve something instead of giving us the soft-soap routine?:(

Same problems last night, and most of the time the problems are from 17h00 to midnight. My emails to Gerald seems to go somewhere else, because there's no response.

:confused::confused:

Hi CellBel,

It could be that they are, as I have not received any until this morning.

Regards,

Gerald.

Strange, it was the previous email and i've used the "Forward" option. I did recieve an email from you now, asking Darlington to look into the problem.
I'm waiting for Darlington's call or email now.
Thanks.

Well last night was the pits , even my dialup was faster than virgin mobile gprs .Why is it that virgin`s gprs goes on so slow after 5 pm in the day.In the morning between 9 am till 5 pm the speed is not that bad.

You know dialup is supposed to be faster than gprs ;)

Was fine last night... was posting and whatever all over the place

Slow this morning, sort of like on half impulse power... better now, they must have diverted power away from the shields, and routed them to the warp engines, a good trick is to use the emergency power for the transporter to bring the shields back on line as you cannot really use the transporter when the shields are up (well not really, but that is another story) :)

Great CellBel,

I see the prev email you sent two weeks ago as part of this morning's mail, not certain why you did not get an out of office, as I was away.

Either way, I have been updated by Errol as to the case.

Gerald.

One thing I have noticed is that my smtp on my email is no longer working - it is set to smtp.cellc.co.za - now I cannot send emails to ICASA complaining about Telkom, this is a tragedy of epic proportions

I keep getting this message:
Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at mybroadband.co.za.

This has been happening since the extended planned shutdown yesterday (Wednesday 6th). It's also very slow again.

I've always had hassles with VMobile. After numerous tips on this forum, non worked as well as manually switching your device to the Vodacom network and piggybacking. You get EDGE/3G/HSDPA and sub 700ms pings, even in peak periods, and all for still 50c a meg!

Another forumite posted that you don't get 3G/HSDPA using this workaround any more. Please confirm.

Hi DragonLogos,

Please update your SMTP address to mail.cmobile.co.za, this should allow you to send emails.
We normally do experience congestion during the above mentioned periods and this is currently being attended to. Pls PM me your details we need examples of such numbers specifically for prompt resolution.

I'm trying MTN again. What a pleasure to have reasonable speeds again using just GPRS ... aaaah!
*no more headaches*

Seriously GTVM, your product is Pooh!

Mrs Dragon wants to get rid of her MTN service ~ got her a Virgin starter pack... as soon as her airtime is up she is porting

My Virgin Mobile GPRS is lightning fast tonight. (In terms relative to GPRS speeds). Anyone experiencing similarly pleasing connection speeds?

Virgin Mobile GPRS is lightning fast tonight.
Good stability, but speeds on gamco speed test is changing constantly (everything between 7 and 14 KB/s). Good for this time of day.
