Hi all
I may have ranted on about this a few months ago, but some experiences this last weekend made me want to follow up and see if anything's improved.
I tend to be on the road around certain areas of Joburg, with most of my time spent around the Isando/Edenvale area and Rosebank/Parktown/Melville. Virgin/Cell C claim to have extensive EDGE coverage - yet I have -never- seen EDGE in these areas, or anywhere else in Joburg. I think I saw coverage once out in Sunward Park (Boksburg).
This weekend I was down in the Natal Midlands. Middle of nowhere (Wartburg), and, lo and behold, there's EDGE coverage. Same goes for various places on the drive back, Heidelberg included.
What's the story? Why nothing in large cities, yet coverage out in the boondocks? And will this change anytime soon?
Thanks
