I recently ported to Virgin from Vodacom and now one of my mms' come through.

I got a N73 and I see the little picture to show a connection is taking place and when I go to the Connection Manager it shows the Virgin_MMS access point being used. The suddenly the connection stops and no MMS comes through. Same thing happens with sending.

Anyone know what the problem could be or how to fix it?

Yes there is one way, port back to Vodacom, Virgin mobile sucks in every aspect.

Otherwise you might try calling 123 although I doubt they'll be of any use.

I would but I gotta wait 2 months before I can port back again :(. I tried phoning 123 but they couldn't help. Just send me settings again that I've already done 5 times.

Yup, Virgin Mobile up to their usual standards, I've been with MTN, Virgin and now Vodacom, honestly Vodacom is by far the best!

MTN was the worst, mostly because they charged me standard SMS rates for delivery reports (on which they couldn't give me a refund or fix the problem), they also tried to block me from porting my number, took about 2 months for them to "allow" the port (I was a prepaid customer but they just wouldn't believe that I wasn't a contract customer, wonder who was paying the contract?).

Yea. I thought the cheaper GPRS would be good seen as thats all I really use my phone for but I can hardly ever connect anyway so it doesn't really make a difference. Vodacom I'm coming back after 1 month left ;D

Ask them to provision you for GPRS. You'll probably find their provisioning team didn't activate the service. Tell them to log a call with their support team or you'll never get past the call centre (ugh..).

The normal GPRS does work. It just disconnects now and then while I'm using it.

Virgin MMS has never worked on my phone, if I use an MTN or Voda sim card it works ;)
