virgin mobile speeds???

I see virgin mobile has great deals on some android stuff
I have a htc dream on virgin mobile and I hardly get 3G

With the newer generation android is it an issue?
Will I suffer with just edge?

also since virgin mobile runs off cellc, and cellc has their new super fast network
Will that make virgin mobile also super fast???

from what i read cell c offerd virgin the use of its 'super fast network' virgin has not advised if they will use it.
