Virgin Mobile Unlimited SMS Contracts

Seriously considering one of these contracts. I don't need a phone so will it be cheaper? I mainly sms so the unlimited sms is pretty cool, and R100 a month airtime should be fine for my needs. Is anyone on this contract? How is their network, and can I port my prepaid Vodacom number, or will I have to have a new number?

AFAIK you have to take it with a new phone, therefore new sim as well.

Didnt you get an iPhone?
 
My friend is on such a contract - works like a charm and network is great! She just said that call charges are damn expensive on those contracts - something like R2.35 even if you only speak 2 seconds! But I think its brilliant for SMS'ers :)
