Cannot connect anymore, and cannot contact their helpdesk because I don't have their number and their website is down!!!

I've lost it, you cannot get a worse network.... Really, the service sucks!

Down Virgin, down down down. Please leave, you are a disgrace to South Africa.

I can't understand whats going on with Virgin for the past 4 weeks. Sometimes I just dont get anything done, and the next moment, like 5 minutes later, I get edge speeds. I mean or the network is up or it's down, but when its down, it just cant get up again in 5 minutes? When its down, I can't even download emails from gmail via pop. I mean thats really bad. I wish Virgin stop promising and get something done.

I think you'll find we are more concerned about the lack of availability of the service rather than the lack of support from your rather dim phone jockeys.

Although, of course, both would be better.

I look forward to your explanation as to why the service is down so much and whether it was deliberate.

I have been on Virgin for a while & i havent had problems to such an extent. I think it depends on the area you're in as well. Other than the downtimes done, in Johannesburg the data services are working fine on my side.
 
I want to add another "down" to this thread topic. I'm in Benoni, and the whole day I didn't even had ANY coverage, not on cellc or vodacom. Virgin is getting more bad by the day. Whats going on? I never saw so much threads in this Virgin section of data that is down. Maybe that can make another section of its own. Please Gerald or scuz, just tell us why Virgin is so bad these days, for me it' s the past month. Before it was always okay.

Please note that whilst we are here to serve all customers, and I personally assist where I can, and we are doing our best to serve, you seem to be a constant detractor, frankly I think your issues are not always existent and you prefer to jump on the issue of the day. Well, that's nice. I've also had problems with Virgin Mobile the last few weeks. I can connect fine, but the connection can only send, it doesn't receive a single byte. That's on my PC, on the phone itself I can't really tell what's happening, but I can't connect to any sites... Sorry, I have no idea what my number is, I only use the SIM for data.

Good idea to tackle it on a more specific level, in our area the GPRS is OK during the day. The problem is from 17h00 on to midnight.
