Hi,

Can anyone point me in the direct of a virtual trading website that reflects the JSE. I want to start buying / selling shares, but would like to 1st try it on a virtual market, but one that reflects the JSE not international securities.

Thanks

Don't know website but we used market master in our third year project.

Sanlam iTrade has a competition running until the end of September (maybe October, I think). You can subscribe for free and you get access to 15min delayed prices with R1m portfolio and access to all their market research tools. It's an exact replica of their iTrade service which you normally will pay for.

So it might give you a good opportunity to get to know how these things work.

I know the iTrade service had a free virtual portfolio thing running 2 years back or so, but now you have to pay (apart from this competition that is).

http://www.sake24.com/miljoen-kompetisie/ (sorry, couldn't find the English version... yeah, I were too lazy :p )

Hey guys

www.stockmarketcompetition.co.za is now looking for interested individuals(both amateur & professional), where you can
(1) invest on a virtual JSE
(2) compete within a private (friends, family) or public league

Interested parties can now sign up to become part of selected alpha testers.
