Virtualbox guide on Youtube

Seriously? I don't really know what the process of hiding porn is but couldn't you just put it on a True Crypt volume?

No, it's slower to stream video directly from it and eats more resources. All I have to do is fire up a virtualbox with a OS password protected and bob is your uncle. All you see is a 500gb OS drive on my main OS. Easy peasy

GFX: GeForce 8000 or Radeon 2000 series with 512 MB RAM
CPU: Core 2 Duo or Athlon X2.
RAM: 2 GB
Internet: ADSL 3 Mbit

Update: - Blizzard sends word that these specs are not confirmed. Just so you know! These are the specs I found so yes perfectly doable. As mentioned on the youtube vid, a Quad core i7 is seen as a 8 core in Virtualbox because it is dual threaded. The only limitations on such a "dual" system would be unsuring that the graphics card has two outputs. When looking at virtualization remember that it's really a resource manager that can split up a system into smaller portions a needed. Hardware is the only limitation and not even machine startup should prevent home usage of Virtualization. /the problem is that it may require separate user privileges to be able to launch the virtualization application. My laptop as an example in the guide, can easily be split into two systems for me and my wife but allas I do not have a video outlet which makes it a problem. The fact that it is meant to be portable does not bother me.I use Ubuntu cloud so my data is everywhere.

Yea sure, splitting the screen is awesome, how do you split the input devices?

err u must be confused :wtf: Last I checked a screen was an output device and not an input one. You are aware that devices like keyboards and mice can be attached in Virtualbox? Each guest can have seperate usb keyboard and mouce as well as instructed on which screen to use. It is perfectly modern to have a graphics card with a VGA + additional port and perhaps even a DVI port.

When splitting a computer between 2 you will actually have 3 machines to take into consideration. You will need the host plus all guests. Depending on OS the host will also need an reasonable allocation of resources, especially if you are running a Windows host. It does not change the situation too much though. I would be interested to see it in operation, however impractical it may be.

Yes, no one is questioning resources needed however let's take that starcraft game as an example with my laptop which has a single VGA port...
I could easily share 2 true cores from my 4 true i7 cores to q new guest as well as 3GB of RAM from the 6GB RAM I have and 500 MB video to a second system and continue to develop in bliss because of the i7 speed. The guest does not need to run windows and my wife can use Ubuntu in this case. We now already have a guest system tht ia more powerful than her current laptop for free excluding the mouse + keyboard + extra screen + vga cable. What's more is that the system (guest) would be fwr more powerful than her pentiuim 4 celeron she has now. The thing is people are wasteful by nature. In my case my wife would have issues with data portability but I am looking into Ubuntu cloud as a solution for her. I personLLY THINK that cloud + Virtualbox = pawnage for us. The money we save will go into an even more powerful system in say 4 years.
