Virus write protecting Flash Drive?

Hi guys,

I got two flashdrives here that are write protected by what I think is a virus, how can I remove this software type write protection?

Googling hasn't helped.

Maybe try your fave Loonix liveCD? This kind of app will be a 'doze-only thing, which can't execute in a *NIX environment ..hell, maybe even format the drives from there - it's how I've recovered drives before!

Just boot from a live CD (such as Knoppix or Ubuntu), insert the problematic stick, delete whatever bugger's there, and try again on winders.

If it still persists in maintaining its write-protection, then format it, and try again.
