Its not strictly a virus but rather spyware

Reboot into same mode and run spybot - it should remove it. Otherwise check out this link:

Try the most progressive/innovative browser on the market, and thats clearly Opera.

Thanks for the feedback. Will ditch IE for Opera or Firefox now to get Linux up.
